Permits. Princesses and Priceless Moments

I got my driving permit! oh today is a Happy day!

This is what I did until dad finally said I could go on the quad. And then they couldn't get me off .

Last weekend  we went camping and quading.
Ok. So maybe quading with a broken elbow is not the most intelligent thing i have ever done but i sure had a good time :)
Quads are so much fun.
We went up were we had trek and it was fun to poke around

So sense i am a gimp girl at the moment (only a week more!) and have been one- handed for the past 2 weeks I have spent lots of time reading. Here is my list:

Elbow Update

isn't that beautiful!? EW!
so we went to the doc office
and waited
and then we filled out some paperwork
and then we waited
and then they put us in a room
and then we waited
and then they cut off the splint and that's when i discovered my masterpiece
and then we waited
and waited
and took pictures of my arm
and waited
and then the doc came in and said "nice bruise"
then he said that i might has some ligament damage
joy
and that we would cast for two weeks
yay!
but that unless i want a plant growing in the crook of my arm
its not waterproof
dang
but i got pink!

this was from the shoemakers in my ward. i believe the cake was made by Briana who is 9 and i also got some notes of encouragement and advice from Kate and Kalli shoemaker who are 6.

i would also like to thank the Eastons for the candy and notes
they have made me one happy gimp

Grace just isn't my forte

Sooo... ya.
I have a broken elbow.

So yesterday I went to this place called jumpstreet with a bunch of friends. its basically a big room full of trampolines. oodles of fun. so i tried to flip and landed on my left arm and it probably was hyper extended and i heard a crunch. but we had just got there so i kept jumping around. by the time we left it was pretty swollen. when i got home we ate dinner and then dad and i went to the urgent care. i got some x-rays and i broke a bone in my elbow but on a scale of 1-10 of elbow brakes i got the 1. if i had broken the bone where my bicep is i would have had to go into surgery. anyway they put a splint on and i have an appointment on Tuesday and will probably get a cast. i am going to get hot pink.

last night was awful and taking a bath was an adventure but it doesn't hurt at all if i don't move it and i couldn't move it even if i wanted cuz of the splint

this is my first broken bone.

sorry for the bad type job its been one handed

Trek

Ok, so this past Thursday, Friday and Saturday I was on trek! Ohmygosh it was SO much fun and really hard at parts. I don't have any pictures cus we weren't allowed to have electronics but they have a video they put together and family pictures at citrusheightsstaketrek.com. It was SO much fun. I didn't have to make a dress because I went ton trek when I was 12 with my ward in ID which was nice. On the first day it was like 7 miles which wasn't too bad but there was a super long hill and they had the woman's pull which is always hard. That night they had a dance and I had so much fun with a certain person. That night was FREEZING... literally and I am a true AZ girl now and I was SO cold and got like 4 hours of sleep. The next day was like 6 mile but we had the the really hard hill but really it should be called a mountain and we did it 2 times because they had like 20 people on each cart. it was that bad. It looked impossible but we did it. Twice. That was Rocky Ridge. Then we had this awesome downhill and I thought i was going to fall and die it was so steep. Then when we got to camp they had a bunch of activities like butter churning, scones ( I ate 4 they were so GOOD!), hair washing ( but i didn't do it. I wasn't that bad....), or you could just go and hang out so then I went back to the Avalon ward and watched the boys have a stick war and act like caveman and tell Brian Regan jokes. It was a little intense. Then that night we had the Stake Presidents fireside and I don't think I have ever paid more attention in a fireside than this one. It was so amazing. Then the next morning we got up and hiked 2 miles and then drove home! Then I spent like 2 hours cleaning, shaving, plucking, and discovering dirt in the weirdest places. Then dad, claire, Sophie and I went to Kung Fu Panda 2. IT was cute but I would have rather seen Pirates. Then I slept like 10 hours totally conked. On sunday I got up and thourally enjoyed cleaning myself and makeing myself pretty. I went to church and had to bare my testimony and then I came home and chilled. Then we went to a post trek fireside which was super good. Haha so they are announcing who is going to speak and Pres. Gardiner says that Pres Bawden ( the stake pres) has asked the following people to bare their testimonies and he is rattleing off names and he says mine! It was fun though and didn't get up there and just stutter around sence the night before I had thought about what I was going to say in the ward but it was cool becasue I said something totally diferent cuz I was trying to follow the spirit. It was Awesome and I looked all pretty so it was ok! :)

Ok trek was AMAZING because:
1) It was so so spiritually uplifting and because you couldn't have electronics you could focus more.
2) I got way closer to my ward and my family especially because we had to push that freakin handcart
3) I got closer to my stake friends and made some amazing new ones.

Impressions from the trail:
  • The Straight and Narrow path is still rocky and the rocks are our trials. Usually its the little rocks that make you stumble and trip ( little rocks could be not reading your scriptures or saying your prayers) but when the big rocks come if you stumble over the little ones, the big ones are harder becasue your ankles hurt.
  • Going down is almost as hard as going up just different
  • I have a vision of kneeling across the alter to a man that has never touched or talked to me in inappropriate ways, who is sweet and pure and that after we are married when he holds me in his arms I will be all his. I know that I can make this dream come true and that we can be together forever
  • When the pioneers said they felt angles help them push or when we had people like my dad come and help us on rocky ridge, our burdens and load was lifted a little but not all the way. The angles didn't come and just take over, they just came to help but we still had to push.
TREK IS DA BEST!

Our After School Adventure

So, on the last day of school, after Olive Garden, I went home and packed up a rented RV and Kymber came over and then my family, Kymber and I heading up to Payson! We had like a 2 1/2 hour drive and were a little slap happy... ok a lot.
Day 1

Day 2

Today we basically played skipbo and the bluffing dice game from Pirates of the Carribean and drove up to Pinetop Lakeside.

Kymber loved her S'mores

Day 3
Today we hung out at Pinetpo Lakeside. We talked by the lake and played games and talked and chilled and talked  and has SO much fun!

It reminded me of McCall. I miss that place! only this was WAY smaller.

We slept out side and it was cool but the people next to us were too loud

So on Sunday we woke up and drove home. I got carsick. Enough said. We dropped Kymber, went to church, then I took a 4 hour and 45 min nap. I have a hunch I was a little deficit. Then on Monday we woke up and headed to Roosevelt Lake. I sense jet skis in my future.

Our beautiful RP ( thats what sophie called it. Cutest thing ever)

The 1st fire I have ever built! ( granted it was from hot coals but it made me feel cool!)

I slept outside that night too and that was AMAZING! The stars were beutiful! Holy Cow constellations are real! Haha it was beautiful!

On Tuesday we came home and then I went to Abbies and watched Stardust. SO cute. SO funny.
Then I came home and packed for trek and then took my stuff to the Hunts and then I went to Drakes House and went Swimming. SO much fun. When I got home at like 11:30 I thought I was going to be sick I was so tired! Then Wednesday I got ready for trek!
