Voices Submission?

I can't decide, its a little creepy but it was really fun to write. And I really had this dream this summer.

The thing about dreams is they never star at the beginning- there is never a back story. Your subconscious always lands you right in the middle of the plot.

I am standing on the sidewalk of a dark street, facing the opposite side and down, as if waiting for something to come down the road. There are buildings lining the street but they are empty and dark. There are no stars and no light comes from the moon. The street lamps fill the street with their eerie yellow light. I am naked, but not in a sexual way. I am vulnerable, raw, exposed; like an open sore. It is cold and I feel the wind raise bumps across my bare chest and legs. I shiver. I see someone approaching on the other side of the street. It is someone I love. I only call their name but really I am calling for them to save me. To cover me, the heal me, to take away my vulnerability and fear. I call again, but to my surprise, they keep walking. I call a third time and they grimace, I know they hears me, but their eyes stay forward, completely ignoring my voice. My voice raises is pitch and panic as I keep yelling. Don't they know that I need them? That I am begging them to come and wrap me up and save me from all the feelings inside of me? Soon I am screaming but to no avail, they are gone.

Like a light switch in my head, I am transformed. I am empty. With vacant eyes I pick up the threadbare blanket that is at my feet. I slowly wrap it around my yellow, quivering body and curl up on the black asphalt. The cold from the ground seeps through my covering and lodges itself in my bones and in the empty space in my chest. It is as if some invisible hand has come and scooped out my insides from my toes to the tips of my fingers. I am a shell. I feel nothing but the cold and that is only because my body is racked with shivers. My vacant eyes stare out into the dark street as the silence envelops me.

She Designed a Life She Loved

I am 18 and still one of my favorite parts of school is designing and putting together my school stuff. So I present my Senior Year Semester II Notebooks. Why shouldn't they be cool?

First Day Back

Getting out at 11:15 is pretty much the greatest decision I have ever made. I have Government with Sabra and English with Sabra and Stacie and that is amazing. And Mr. J is coming back in like February and that is great because, no matter how much I don't personally like him, choir has definitely suffered from him being gone. For lunch we went to Wendy's and then I went to the library and got An Abundance of Katherines.

(But I am finishing Kite Runner first).
I had to take this survey for government and apparently I am conservative. (shocker, I know) but I was barely in that zone, I was more middle-ish than conservative. And I wasn't libertarian. Which I thought I would be a little bit. But whatever.
Today was also my first day with A hour seminary and I think I am going to really enjoy starting out my day with it. And Micheal Boren is in that class. So that is nice.
Today the plan is to finish homework and then do nothing and then go to work! I am loving this schedule. Too bad next week I have to go to classes.

Goodbye Post

School starts tomorrow. Goodbye freedom and late night Netflix marathons and sleepy mornings that start at noon and nothing on my mind. I will miss you more than I can say

I love this- granted I will say that its kind of funny that it is written by a woman. Are you lesbian?

My Artsy Stuff and My Workshop {Room}

Artsy Stuff
My dad made this white board for my mom but she doesnt like red anymore so I inherited it :) But red doesn't fit my room very much so I painted it turquoise but I sanded through so the red is there a little and I love it.

Before

After

My other artsy project was inspired by A Beautiful Mess, and theirs is much cuter but I loved the clipboards as a work space/ art display

My Room

This is my think area. The magnet board is actually the back side because the front was pink and a little too polk-a-dotty. There is a little of my second wall art collage and my clipboards.

This is the wall art collage behind my bed. I painted the green splatter art, the black stars painting and the good thoughts quote. The garden painting and the map came from goodwill, as well as the green picture frame. The picture was a gift from my sister/bfff Sydney who did an art program in San Francisco this summer. The clock is from Target. The kissing picture is from Walmart.

This is my second wall art collage. The Mountians and the galaxy was painted by my friend Justin. Yes, the galaxy thing is just about the coolest thing ever. I painted the rainy day. The flower postcards and the ticket poster are from Ikea. The picture of Christ was ripped out of the New Era :)

Favorite detail? The globe. S/O to Elisabeth for the coolest Christmas present ever

These are my undeveloped areas. I am looking for a chair to go beneath that painting and I have no idea what to do with the clutter int the corner!

Frozen {and commentary}

So I WAS going to be all artsy crafty today, and I did, but nothing is done. SPOILER ALERT I love clipboards. It takes a lot of time and effort to sign up for classes and that website is not intuitive. Himym is doing well, thanks for asking. Still making each other happy...ok its kind of commensalism, I don't himym cares. Moving on, today my family and I went to see Frozen! The only problem with this is I hadn't showered for three days (and I am not one of those blessed people who can get away with that) and the teller was hot. But hey he smiled at me and we got a popcorn voucher so maybe I can. Frozen was cute but it wasn't Tangled and the wrap up was a little bit lame. Love? Really? Love is the answer? I mean, how clique can you get. I liked how she didn't marry the prince, because even going into a Disney movie I thought that was rushed. Olaph of course is the best part of the entire movie. And I adore Idina Menzel. Who knew Kristen Bell sang too? That surprised me. I thought it was going to be Brittney Snow. So it was good. But it was no Aladdin and definitely no Lion King. By the way, is someone going to send Disney a memo that boy protagonists are good too? Just saying.

College? Ok

So guess who is going to college? Me. Like next week. I am only going to high school half day and I am going to get out at like 11:15 and I am not getting another job because, though I applied a ton of places and have experience and have a current and job and am 18...no one called me back. But I'm not bitter. Anyway the solution to my I-have-too-much-time-on-my-hands issue is that I am going to take community college classes. So all of this morning I spent on the computer trying to figure out which classes I want and if they transfer to BYU and such. I think I decided to take Biology MoWeFr and Psychology TuThur. I am super excited and going to college has got to be the best college prep ever right?
